Staying up until 4:30 a.m. watching Lewis to satisfy a sudden and inexplicable craving for high-brow British mystery shows featuring entirely too well-educated people involved in ridiculously complicated crimes that require completely implausible extents of literary allusion in the crime-fighting process: good idea or great idea? The trouble is now I want to go back and watch the entire run of Inspector Morse from beginning to end. I didn't really watch that much TV back in the day - not until grad school, really, hard as it is to believe considering my current habits - but I always watched Morse on Mystery! on PBS with my dad. Always always always. Never missed it. (My dad and I still quote Morse at each other at random moments and frequently greet each other by saying, "Here we are again, Lewis.") (Oh, shut up. I don't judge your family quirks, do I?) ...But I am not going to stay up until 5:30 a.m. watching clips of John Thaw on YouTube, because that will probably make me cry. :( Current Location: the wrong side of morning
